Baffour Agyei - Compliance Manager
He holds a Bsc. (Hons) in Accounting and MBA (Accounting) from KNUST. A Certified Accounting Technician from Institute of Chartered Accountant Ghana (ICAGh) and an associate member of the Association of Certified Chartered Economist (ACCE), with a strong academic interest in Corporate Governance.
Mr. Agyei Baffour started his Career as an accounts officer with TBS Ghana before moving into banking. He heads the finance division of Golden Eagle Capital, a finance house where he rose from treasury department to internal audit department. Prior to current position, he was appointed as the Head – Risk, Compliance & AMLRO for Nkoranza Kwabre Rural Bank. Currently, he is responsible for Risk, Compliance, Regulatory and AML/CFT of bank. Baffour is married to Edith and bless with two children, Othniel & Uriel
Emmanuel Opoku - Head, Marketing
Emmanuel Opoku was appointed Head of Marketing for the Bank on 1 st August 2023. Prior to joining the Bank, he worked with Sinapi Aba Savings and Loans Limited, Sunyani Branch as Relationship Manager and Assistant Manager. He started as a Relationship/Credit Officer.
Before his banking and marketing career, he worked with Sunyani Municipal Assembly, Environmental Health Unit, so he has experience in environmental and sanitation management. Emmanuel Opoku is a marketing oriented and a banker with over 10years experience in the financial service industry. His experience spans Business Management, Strategic Marketing Management, Marketing research, Customer Relationship Management, Marketing Communication, Financial and Credit Management, Teaching and Educational Management.
He is a professional teacher and a part-time Lecturer. He holds Mphil Business Management from Akenten Appiah Minka University of Skills and Entrepreneurial Development (AAMUSTED, Formally of UEW-Kumasi Campus) He also have MBA in Marketing from University of Cape Coast , BSc Marketing from University of Cape Coast and HND Marketing from Sunyani Technical University (formally, Sunyani Polytechnic). He again have Post Graduate Diploma in Education (PGDE) from Catholic University College of Ghana, Sunyani Fiapre.
Eric Drobo - Head of Microfinance
Eric is the Head of Microfinance for Suma Rural Bank Ltd. He played significant role in successful setting up the microfinance department.
Eric holds MBA Banking and Finance from Valley View University and Bachelor of Commerce (B.COM) at University of Cape Coast .He is a product of Sunyani Polytechnic (S-Poly) currently Sunyani Technical University where he obtained his Diploma in Business Studies, accounting option.
Before joining Suma Rural Bank, Eric was the Head of Managed Loans at Sefwiman Rural Bank PLC in the Western North region. He was also a Head of Microfinance at Nkoranza Kwabre Rural Bank Ltd and a Project Manager at BACCSOD Credit Union, Wenchi Dioceses. Eric has twelve (12) years working experience in Banking all in credit administration. He played pivotal role in all loan
recovery activities in all the banks he served.
Eric has attended conferences and courses and received numerous certificates of participation including Agric Value Chain Financing (RDF GH.), Credit Management for Consumer and Business Loan (National Banking Collage), Loan Assessment for Small and Medium Enterprises (ARB APEX BANK PLC), ICAM/Non-Performing Loan Training (Mastercard, CapPlus ,GHAMFIN and BOG) Internal Liquidity Adequacy Assessment Process ((ILAAP) National Banking Collage), MSME Lending Techniques (Mastercard, CapPlus, GHAMFIN and BOG) among others.
He is much focused, zealous and always aspires to obtain the ultimate goals in his career and personal development has been a source of inspiration to his co –staff.
Joseph Kuma - Operations Manager
Kumah Joseph has been in the financial services sector for over 24 years with experience in financial and corporate strategy, financial management, financial analysis reporting, budgeting, banking operations and control. Having work for over two decades, He serves as an institutional memory for the bank. Joseph joined Suma Rural Bank in January 1999 and held many managerial roles before he was appointed as the Head of Operations & Finance Director in March 2008 till date. With 15 years as the head of operation, Joseph leadership and cross-functional strength spearhead transformation within the Bank which improved year on year efficiency, income and business growth which led the bank to win Club 100 Award in 2016.
He further led the bank to transform its operation from paper base worked to computerized accounts and record keeping which has improves operational turnaround and customer satisfaction. His impeccable budgetary style moved the bank’s profit to 300% against it set target in 2022. In 2021, he became the acting Chief Executive Officer (C.E.O).
Prior to his role, joseph began his banking career as a banking officer in January 4, 1999 in the same bank where he rose to manage four different branches (Sampa, Goka, Suma Ahenkro and Japekrom) as the agency head.
Joseph holds a Bachelor of Commerce in Business Administration from the University of Cape Coast. He also holds post – certificate course in accounting, risk management, banking operations and compliance from ARB APEX BANK. He currently completed a certificate course in Tax Risk Compliance in August 2023.

Rosemond Awusi - Head of Human Resource
PROFILE OF MRS. ROSEMOND AWUSI
HEAD OF HUMAN RESOURCE AND ADMINISTRATION
Rosemond Awusi (Mrs.) holds a Master’s Degree in Business Administration with Human Resource Management option, Bachelor degree in Management and HND in Management. She has also acquired a Diploma in Business studies with City and Guilds (UK). She paced into the banking industry as an Administrative Assistant to the Chief Executive Officer in 2014. By dint of hard work and dedication she was appointed Head of Human Resources and Administration in 2019.
She is a creative, organized, motivated and confident person. A reliable and trustworthy individual who enjoys working as part of a team but work equally well on her own, with excellent customer care skills, a confident telephone manner and good keyboard skills.
Mrs. Awusi has In-depth Knowledge in Human Resources Management, Administrative and Management procedures, Corporate Governance and Labour Act, which makes her responsible for smooth running of the operational activities concerning human resource functions and office administrative procedures.
She has excellent analytical abilities, strong belief in ethics and integrity, and the ability to work well independently with minimal supervision and under pressure.
Mark Asante - Head of Internal Audit Unit
Mark Asante is the Head of Internal Audit for Suma Rural Bank Limited. Mark Asante has worked in the banking industry for over 18 years.
Mark started his banking career with Derma Area Rural Bank Limited in March 1, 2005 and rose through the ranks to become head of Internal Audit in September 2010.
Prior to joining Suma Rural Bank Limited on October 1, 2019, Mark worked with GN Bank Limited as a Branch Manager from December 2015 to August 2019. Before his banking career, Mark worked with St. Theresa’s Hospital in Nkoranza as Project Assistant for Anti-Malarial Drugs Research Project from January 2003 to February 2005. He was in charge of payroll management and other administrative duties. Mark was appointed as the Project Assistant after his dedicated and committed services during his National Service days at the St. Theresa’s Hospital.
He holds MBA in Supply Chain Management from KNUST Business School with a good background in service delivery, entrepreneurship, supply chain, procurement and strategic management. Mark also holds Bachelor of Commerce Degree (Accounting) from the University
of Cape Coast and HND Accounting from Sunyani Technical University (Formerly Sunyani Polytechnic). Mark attended has attended post graduate certificate training programmes in risk based auditing, effective internal control systems, corporate governance, system audit,
managing tax compliance and enterprise risk management.
Dennis Amankonah - Head of Credit

Amankonah Dennis is currently the Head of the Credit Department of Suma Rural Bank Limited (Credit Manager) since April 2015.
In April 2013, Dennis started working for Suma Rural Bank Limited (SRB) as Assistant Credit Manager. He was in-charge of the day-to-day credit administration of the Bank and work closely with the then head of the credit department until finally rose to the position of the head of credit department.
Dennis before working with SRB, worked with Kaaseman Rural Bank on an attachment basis from the year 2009 to 2011.
Dennis is a Credit Manager, with qualification in Master of Business Administration in Finance from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) and Bachelor of Arts Degree in Social Science (Economics and Sociology) from University of Cape Coast. He is also a product of Berekum Senior Secondary School where he studied Business.
